I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Universidad EAFIT in Colombia. I study crime with particular emphasis on how to design alternative strategies to control illicit crops.
I earned the 2018 Graduate Dean’s Distinguished Dissertation Award in Social Science of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, awarded every two years to outstanding research and scholarship.
I am also the vice-chair of the local organizing committee of the 20th World Congress of the International Economic Association—IEA.
